Remembrance Day

Kerry at work loaned me a knitted poppy that her friend had made. I wore it today when out shopping just to remind others of the importance of the day.

Lest We Forget - 11am, 11 November, 2017

This was me a year ago, working at the Dept of Ed in Corparoo:

Trunk of my poinciana

..is so thick now,
and there is a great deal of new growth going on at the top...it's even beginning to hide the telegraph pole (yay)!
And I trimmed the tops of the red robins too during the week. Want the newest addition (small one) to catch up, eventually.

Rains coming again! (White dots in the front is some old bread I threw out for the birds)

Bought a new Xmas wreath to hang on the wire 'door'

It's a mistletoe, but there's only one person I would like to kiss under that!
This old bed frame is perfect for preventing the chooks from getting onto the verandah and pooping everywhere. As it is, I have to clean up the mess they made just last week. It looks a little like Stalag 13, which is why I thought I'd soften it with the wreath.
