Tutti Vet

Took Tutti to the vet this morning, for her annual check-up.

She seems fine, is just over 5kg (5.3) in weight, and had a small lump on her left side drained - apparently it had old hair and stuff in it, and will later need to be removed by surgery.

The vet gave her her third vax, a worm tab and a Comfortis anti-flea tab. All cost $206.

I found the paperwork that confirms her approximate age of 5 months 2 weeks when I got her, which was on 22 Sept, 2016, from the Animal Welfare League in Ipswich. She cost me $350.

That makes her birth date around 6 April 2016.

So, she is 3 this year.

They have her listed as Birman, but I think she is more Tonkinese.

She's my darling.

I bought a French daybed

I love this one - it's a real bed. I have taken Simon's old mattress from Mum's shed, and will use it for this purpose, until I can afford to  buy a new one. This mattress stinks to high heaven, but a couple of days in the fierce sun will help with that.

It's just so relaxing to lie on, on the verandah, and gaze at the garden. Unfortunately, the road noise is somewhat disturbing and prohibitive.

For the time being, and until I can 'dress' it properly with the right materials, I'm using one of  my rogue Chinese cotton quilts to cover it all.
