Blue wrens

These are called 'superb fairy wrens' in the books. A colony lives in my garden, front and back. They are so cute.

New pieces of concrete

On my morning walk, I noticed an older guy shovelling stuff in his front yard. I asked him if I could have the shards of concrete in the pile, and he was happy for me to take them.

I went home, had a coffee, got the car and rove round to load them in my car, which he helped me with.

I got them home, and as they were thin pieces, they were not heavy to lift out of the car, and I proceeded to place them around the garden, in their initial spots - these might change.

23 October 2020 - I dropped off a little letter with some chocolates to the house where the bits came from, to thank them for their help in developing my garden.
I dropped it in their mail box (6 Hibiscus St) this morning (26/10/2020).

29 Oct - the pigface is taking off in this space. I am pleased about this, and really want a swash of pink and green there.

2 Nov - I fed the little cuttings of pigface with some liquid potash this morning.

25 October 2020 -  It's time for the flowers to fall off, to create beautiful purple carpets on lawns and walkways.
