I do this from time to time - after mowing the lawn (yesterday) or whip-snipping, I sweep the debris from the street gutters surrounding my place. I like to prevent all the mess from going into the storm water drain and clogging it up. It goes in the bin, to land fill.
Usually I then trim the tops of the creepers growing over the fence, to keep them in trim and neat. Then I rake and put that debris as compost on the front bed under the red-robins.
Then I'm happy that things look tip-top.
It's the Autumn Equinox today - in the Northern Hemisphere.
On this day, there is no tilt to the earth's axis, which means it stands straight up and down, resulting in an equal amount of light and dark for everyone on the planet.
Apparently, due to differences between the calendar year and the tropical year, the September equinox can occur at any time from September 21 to 24.
