I moved the offending bricks

After being out and about all day, I decided, despite the impending showers, to move the bricks that have been piled in the front garden since the reno began. The bricks come from the demolished front wall of the house - the old front wall.

I've stacked them against the fence at the back, and will advertise them to be given away.

126 bricks. 45 trips across the yard with the wheelbarrow. In the rain! Stacked 7 levels (with a few extra on top), 3 across, 5 deep.

Just some rubble to rake up and dispose of. Will do that when it's drier out. Supposed to be wet today and lovely sunshine tomorrow.

18 May 2019: I finally got rid of the brick pile, by putting them as dividers around the veggie patch at the back, and as steps in John's Garden.

Gardened all day yesterday

...to bring it up to speed before the rains. I whip-snipped, mowed, raked and swept. This morning I swept the gutters, and trimmed the bougainvillea.

I DO like a neat, trimmed lawn.

Sam prepares the concrete

Sam (Pendergast) is going to paint my new concrete path a nice grey colour as he did last time, almost 2 years ago.

First he pressure cleans the cement, then acid washes it. It is supposed to fully dry before he paints it, but the weather is not cooperating today - it's grey and will rain this afternoon and tomorrow, according to the forecast.

So, here's the area cleaned, but before the paint:
