Air plants and hangers

Tillandsia Usneoides (Spanish Moss)

$5
Found these online today following through a link on Earth Gardner's on Facebook -

Gonna buy two and fill them with airplants, probably the common moss first, and then something wtih red in it another time. The first for the bathroom.

Tillandsia Usneoides (Spanish Moss or Old Man's Beard) is a pendant, epiphytic (meaning it does not need soil and absorbs nutrients and water from the air and rainfall), evergreen shrub hanging down from the branches of trees etc and growing around 6 metres long. The leaves are covered in absorbent silver-grey or white scales

The plant has no aerial roots and its flowers are tiny and inconspicuous. The tiny, pale green flowers that appears in the leaf axil of wild Tillandsia usneoides, rarely bloom on plants grown indoors. The flowers, with a musk fragrance, appear in the warmer months. Cannot tolerate regular temperatures under 13 degrees.
