Quiet afternoon spot

I came home to see this restful, peaceful and shady scene.

Dubbs helps at Mum's

Anthony has been up here for work for many weeks. He seems reluctant to do much at my place, but this past weekend, he helped Mum by rebuilding rotted parts of the wood pergola that my father had built many years ago.

Rhoe cuttings

I pinched a cutting of this from the neglected garden of the shop down the road. It was being ignored and unloved, so I grabbed a few bits just sticking up by the walkway.

I've put them in the ground, hoping they will spread. The leaves are a pretty colour.

Syzygiums - lilly pillys

So, I have my little plants in pots, with one in the ground. They are very pretty - like lilly pillies. I noticed one yesterday at Bunnings, which was pruned into a standard form. It looked great - I immediately came home to clip mine into a similar shape.
