First mow of the new year
I whip-snipped and hedge trimmed in the morning, then took Mum to Mount Ommaney. Then I mowed and as it is tidied, the garden looks so lovely. I am so, so grateful I am NOT starting with nothing this year. Rather, the garden is well established and developing, as I prune and shape and tip. I mean, it's still a 'blank slate' in terms of 'I can do what I want with it', but the situation is not so dire as it was - the fence is becoming well covered, providing privacy and cool instead of my being exposed so much to the road.
3 Jan 2020 - Swept the gutters (after the whippy-snip mess) for the first time this new year. Took these pretty photos of my front garden:
Spider lilies flower this season
They've been out for a few days now, and happily, it looks as though they have multiplied. I am pleased as I have been conscious of keeping them watered sufficiently.
Red frangipani at the back
Remains of the day - after the first whip-snip, hedge-trim and mow of 2020 -
16 Jan 2020 - she's sooo pretty.
