Current garden pics

African girl from Kerry T

The last time Kerry visited me, for my birthday, she gave me a statue which at the time, I hated (but did not say, of course). I said I would put her amongst some creepy vines, where I thought she would look good.

I recentlt and finally got around to, and decided to, give her some dangly earrings, made from beads I had on another, worn-out garden decoration. I wanted to see if I might like her more.

I painted her lips, and now need some blue and yellow small pots of paint to finish off her make-up (eye) and beads on her neck.

I think she is beginning to look better and I like her a lot more for my garden, in some jungly spot.

Moved Lion hanger

This lion was once clearly visible along the fence, but no longer. The fence hedge has filled in beautifully, and I have moved the lion to...

here...

Much better now. Though I believe it may be too sunny for the little plants in it to survive in this location.
May have to get some petunias.

Lions Richlands

We went here for lunch with John and Anne Hanson.

It's the third time I have been here - I like this club.

Fire place - this is the one I would like

 Bunnings $799

I must investigate having one installed, with a wood basket beside, and a hearth!'

First big fog - 26 May 2021

Woke up to a message on my phone saying there was a big fog in our area today. So, I went outside to take some quick snaps, and here they are. Every Autumn/Winter we get some, and I've been attempting to record them each year, at least one anyway.

Here is this year's! If I compare photos, they really show how the garden has grown and changed.

VAX! 1 and 2

Got my COVID vaccine, Pfizer, yesterday at Cribb House in Ipswich, at 3.27pm, 25 May 2021.

No after-effects as at 9.48 am on 26 May, 2021. Sore at injection site; felt rather tired earlier than usual in the evening after the vax, but no other probs.

Next and final does is 3.10pm, 15th June, 2021.

Second jab was done 15 June 2021, at 3.20pm, also at Cribb House.

No main side effects - just tiredness and low level headache. Taking the day off work though!

White blakeana growth

This one has grown from a sprouted seed. I am hoping it is indeed a white version, as they are so beautiful in flower. It is growing over Taffy's grave.

I am keeping an eye on it, and hoping it grows rapidly like my first pink one. I'd like to sprout a darker pink one soon too. They are beautiful flowers.

Gardening today 22 May 2021

I mowed and raked. It's a lovely warm day, 24 C they sy.

Things are growing so fast now, but I still like to keep it all tidy and neat.

Rose came out and looked so good, resting near my potting mix, in a tidy garden. She's such a big girl now! 7 months old from 14 May.

This flower fell right here, adorning the mower. I thought it was amusing.
