Latest growth of Lindy's frangi
I just think she is beautiful!
6 May, 2019: As the cooler weather approaches, the leaves are getting rust on them, I guess before they fall off for the season.
17 Sept 2019 - we have been though all the stages of leaves off through the winter. Now that Spring is here, there are signs of new flower growth! It has just been so terribly dry for almost 2 years, that I am not sure anything is growing as per 'normal'.

27 Sept 2019 -
3 Jan 2020 - She has grown even more tall, and is even sprouting from the end which I accidentally knocked off many weeks ago. I have planted that section over the bins. I have been watering her judiciously so maybe that has helped?

Another wire cloche
Bought another wire cloche and put it over the magnolia. It will get too tall soon enough but the cloche looks nice for now, and I will use it on another plant another time.I love the butterfly doorknobs used as handles.

Planted the duranta alba hedge
A wet, rainy day calls for an opportunity to dig into the rock-hard baked soil to plant my duranta plants for a quick hidey-hedge.
It's apparently also called WHITE SKY FLOWEr and PIDGEON BERRY.
Grows to height and width of 3 metres. Suits me fine.
More info:
Two in, two to go. The soil looks damp below, so the recent rains have seeped in successfully. Today's rain will help too.
All now in the ground.
I tweaked and shaped them a little to encourage them to grow sideways. It will take a lot of shaping to get them right, in the months and years to come.
The alba's have not grown much. I think the drought may have had a detrimental effect,. despite my watering efforts. I do love the white flower though.

'John's Garden' needs an update
Looking at this photo, I can see what this area needs. A focus or something, in the centre. I need a wee bridge or some other feature, perhaps a gazebo.
Maybe I can make a garden path out of these old bricks.
As at 29 April, 2019: Nothing has been done to improve things, although the murrayas have grown some. The plastic needs taking up, and more murrayas need to be planted.
