When my reno gets going, I will have to carefully sort out with the builders what I can get done for my money. It would be nice to have a new roof on the verandah at front.

Been in my house for two years today!
Not always happily. I think I bought in haste, and am certainly repenting at leisure but at least I have a home, and a job...
I don't want to be like the homeless situations in the articles below...
I've had Taffy for two years, Tutti for one, and Tiina is only nine months old. Somewhere between March and September 2016, I lost Janey, my second cat to a car hit.
Here is the front yard in October 2016:
compared to now, late 26th September 2017:
The grass is dry due to no rain for almost 3 months, but the plants are growing and the house has improved a wee bit.
It's very slow progress, but I do get enormous pleasure from tending my garden.

Ixora 'Pink Malay' - finally flowering
Although, as long as the chookies are in there digging, it might not last long!
Update: 25 Jan 2019: Since I bought a hose extension, and have been able to water the end of the garden, the ixora has flowered beautifully. It has certainly grown from last year!

Virginia creeper - Spring new growth
New shoots! I'd love it to take over the fence, but I wonder how it will do during it's first harsh Brisbane summer?
