Slab is laid

Spent last night watching a great show about Janis Joplin's life, which finished at 11pm. I knew I'd be tired this morning, and when Rick knocked on my window at 6.40am asking for the gate key, it was hard to arise!

However, here I am (inside) listening to the squishy noises of the porridg-y like concrete being sluiced into place around the frame. And taking a few photos.

Must be geranium season

They seem to be all coming out in flower just at the moment. It's been very dry although I have been watering them - perhaps that's the secret?

Slab under the extension gets laid on Monday and for the extra verandah space, on Tuesday.

Bulldozer antics

Second day of activity - the bulldozer lifting sand into the cavity for the laying of concrete, and tearing up the yard on the way!
