Sunday morning at the ranch, 2015 - 2018

Flashback to 3 years ago, soon after I moved in. I am so happy the garden has taken off, and continues, despite drought to make the place look better.
It needs a lot of work, which I am happy to do, but oh! we need rain.

Got a bunch of small flowers - look nice in a little vase for Spring, inside:

Sweet Pea Shrub ‘Petite Butterfly’ (Polygala fruticosa). Love it!

May bush has taken!

I've been very conscientious about watering this little plant and it seems to have paid off.

Here she is, flowering away, right now. I love her brilliant white and can hardly wait until she is tall and arching over the fence.

Pepie dies

Pepie was run over on the busy road outside Mums place on Monday afternoon.

I washed his blood off the road on Tuesday morning. His little body was collected for cremation by Pets In Peace. It has been a terrible ordeal. I couldn't bear to take a photo of any part of it.

https://www.homestolove.com.au/tropical-garden-melbourne-7183

I'm not sure I want a completely tropical garden but I do like palms.

The plant list in THIS article is very useful.

It rained a little

and the plants and bees loved it.This is the white lavender - Lavandula Stoechas 'Ballerina', French Lavender 'Ballerina', Spanish Lavender 'Ballerina.

One year on, it's their first wedding anniversary. Here are some photos from the wedding which I had not seen before (featuring me, of course ha ha ha):
