New mulberries on the mulberry! + updates

I MUST put this tree in the ground, and soon.

Update 25 Sept 2018 -  Look! Look! They're ripening!

They were beautifully sweet.

Front door look #1

I suppose it's coming together, but oh so slow for me. I want that white climbing rose (lower right of door/path) to grow up and around the side of the house. It will look good when in flower, especially.

I need more topsoil and lawn here too. Some flowers on each side of the pathway would look nice too. I am tossing up between a mixture of tiny mondo grass and petunias. I think I need to move the other climbing rose to this location too, so that there is a mixture of pink and white.

Aldi's is selling these standard ficus plants on this coming Wednesday for just under $30. I need one for the other side of the front door.

19 Sept 2018: I bought one this morning! 

They had ficus standards and lilly-pilly's, but the others I have are ficus, so I stuck with that.

Anne also bought this wee thing for me - not sure yet how big it is. It's a fake but I admired the one she had on her outside garden table, and now have one too. 

I have a number of fake greenery things in the garden and they look just fine with everything else.

Ficus #3 (back garden) shots

2 April, 2019 - This one has grown and spread a lot this year.

13 July, 2019 - It seems to be going great guns now. I can see progress in the young new reddish leaves. I've fed it two lots of diluted Seasol this week, so I hope that does it good, seeing as the soil here is so depleted on its own.

25 Sept, 2019 -  almost covered the 'Pool' sign now! (plus, new season's grapevine shoots!)

Quite the kitty + updates

Tems is becoming more likeable - she is playing outside although still annoying the others when inside. I have to rescue them from her at times.

Flame tree now self-supporting

At first, after transplanting the flame tree, the 3 top stalks would not support themselves, and I tethered them to each other with an elastic cord.

 I noticed this morning that they were standing by themselves, with no support. Progress and growth has occurred!

29 Nov 2018:

I came home from work yesterday, at around 7.30 to see that the fierce wind had caused the tree to lean to one side, with one side of the roots exposed.

I went out in the dark (the sensor light was on, and that was enough to see by) to double-stake the tree and so secure it.
