Not much happening out here until I have more time. It can tend to look somewhat messy and I have to work hard to keep it neat. It will be good when it's all done, and the plants are growing around the pergola frame. That will take a while.

Mum's star jasmine
Looking great - hopefully I can look at mine with awe, this time next year.
Below is mine, out the front, at the beginnings of the parterre garden.

Update 15 Nov 2018: I bought a new star jasmine from Bunnings today. It will go in the other section of the parterre. I do need 2 more but will see what the work 'Secret Santa' and birthday gifts bring me.

New potato vine
So, this one, whilst currently potted, is designed to hide the neighbours next door. I will have the top of the fence extended and this can climb all over it. It will need pruning regularly which is a bit of a pain but Plan to buy a Ryobi hedger to do all my fence plants and that should make it easier.
This one is a lovely light violet colour when in flower.

New common jasmine + updates
This time, the jas is around the back of the house, and is to adorn the pergola. Already it has grown in the week or so that I have had it.
7 Sept 2019 - it's going berserk now, with new shoots coming out everywhere this Spring.
Doing ok so far, as at 24 Jan, 2019:

How great is this starting to look, or, the parterre garden begins
This was John's Garden yesterday evening.
Tutti was enjoying the calm of a cool evening, and the fragrance of freshly cut grass.
This was the scene in the morning, before I decided to make a start on getting plants into the ground.
The plants are still in pots, stepping stones in place between two sections, brick outline on the way....
I went on the attack, and made a start. Plants in the ground...
Central statue in place - needs levelling, but still...
How great is the front of the house area looking? Yay!
Star jasmine for ground cover - I will need to buy more to cover the area inside the hedges.
