Front garden this evening (about 5.30pm)

That awful power-pole is still visible, but the book-tree is gradually obscuring it.

A lovely rainy day

I went to work to supervise an SAT test, then mowed the front lawn, and then it rained for the rest of the day. I had a snooze, and it was lovely listening to the rain.

Foo dogs

Blue foo dogs


Informally known in colloquial English as lion dogs or foo dogs. In Chinese we know them as shishi. The female with the cub always sits on the left and the male with the ball to the right when looking at them from the front

Creepers out the back

An earlier post about these, as far back as 2016, is HERE. I can hardly believe it's been so long since it 'fruited' ( 3 years).

Purple edging

I found a bit of this plant in a garden near Churchie. I took a cutting and am trying to root it in water. I would like it to grow along the edge of my walkway to the front door.

Mum has some growing too. I might get some of that to hasten the number of cuttings. I like the dark purple foliage.
