Garden by night

Lit by security light, just after I had finished hosing the plants.

And earlier, at dusk - I looked around, and suddenly felt a rush of affection for my garden, and thought how nice it was, dry and all.

Guard cat

Tutti on guard duty as I potter around the garden, putting mulch on the beds.

Banana tree

Took out one of the banana shoots, so I could plant the strelitzia nicolai there instead. Want it all leafy and thick there so as the boys at the back house cannot see through to my back of house.

Amazing to see the huge and tall banana shoot reduced to a wee bit of cellulose and water.

22 April, 2020 - I have bananas!

Weekend - work to be done

Mulching all round, and finishing the veggie patches with a bag of soil on each bed, to consolidate it all into compost.

Book tree greens up again

After all the flowering and seeds, the leaves have come back -

The grass is looking more burnt than ever. There is a crack in the ground now too,

but not as bad as this - children desparate for water in Guangxi Province, China,
Nov 11 2006 during a severe drought.
Makes mine look laughable.
