More painting

'Never underestimate the power of paint' says Cherie Barber.

I arose at about 7.30 and went out to finish off the can of paint. I like what it does. Transforming.
It needs another coat to darken it further, but that will come in time.

Trimmed up the loose ends on the arch in the front garden this morning.

Pink book tree 2020 views

Finally hiding that ugly power pole (if you angle the shot well!). Eventually, she will be so big and bushy, she will hide that thing easily.

First mow of the new year

I whip-snipped and hedge trimmed in the morning, then took Mum to Mount Ommaney. Then I mowed and as it is tidied, the garden looks so lovely. I am so, so grateful I am NOT starting with nothing this year. Rather, the garden is well established and developing, as I prune and shape and tip. I mean, it's still a 'blank slate' in terms of 'I can do what I want with it', but the situation is not so dire as it was - the fence is becoming well covered, providing privacy and cool instead of my being exposed so much to the road.

3 Jan 2020 - Swept the gutters (after the whippy-snip mess) for the first time this new year. Took these pretty photos of my front garden:

Spider lilies flower this season

They've been out for a few days now, and happily, it looks as though they have multiplied. I am pleased as I have been conscious of keeping them watered sufficiently.

Remains of the day - after the first whip-snip, hedge-trim and mow of 2020 -
