Hole in fence is filled!

For a long time, there was a hole in the foliage where one could see the road and the corner. Now, it has been rapidly filled in by the pink creeper and other foliage, such a the bougainvillea and the white plumbago. I am so pleased this has finally happened.

The little bird house marks where the hole used to be. Can't see the road now!

Palms - golden canes

They are growing in height and width - I am trying to keep them under control. They are spreading fast - I like their fanned out leaves.

16 August 2020 -  Took a trip to Bunnings, and was shocked at how much the cost of palms is at Bunnings, anywhere from 60 to more than 170 dollars!  

Outrageous pricing when they are so common around the place.

Mine cost about $8 each, if I remember rightly, from the Salvos shop. I am glad I started with them small and watched them grow. So satisfying, and I have enjoyed the nurturing journey.

Sunday morning

Garden looks so pretty when mowed and trimmed. I am loving the new shade from the trees as they grow taller.

Managed to plant in and up all the new plants this morning too. Photos to come. Mostly replaced the min-a-mins in John's Garden with murrayas which will grow better and taller, and have put the min-a-mins in pots, with buxus, to grow and shape into balls.

This is what I started with, about 4.5 years ago - it was even more barren prior to these photos!
