Vegie plot update

Spent time in the garden, setting up the azaleas in the centre three beds, the dragonfruit on the sunniest end, and I'll use the inner bed for veggies, I think, or maybe sweet peas.

The 3 square beds I will use for veggies, and the round pots for herbs: rosemary, basil, thyme, parsley, sage, coriander, chives, oregano, lavender.

This is how I leave them most mornings, especially in the winter - curled up and cosy on my bed!

New ornament

Bought this from Marketplace for $10, but I think it's half of a book-end. Previous owner said she only ever had the one. I'm thinking I might bring her inside, and place her ('Molly', after the previous owner's pretty white cat) on a shelf, next to a plant or something.

So, I've washed her, ready for placement indoors. She just looked too small to be outside, unless there was a special niche place.

Planted Jap Maple

I think this is what this plant is. I will keep it here for a while to get it established and growing, then perhaps put it in a pot.

10 Sept, 2019 -  I've been giving it huge amounts of water and that seems to have sparked some new growth.
