Fraser Island creeper - Update: died 5 Jan 2018

Can't seem to find the nursery tag for this, but it does look like it has taken. 

I will have to wait till it flowers to see what it's like. I believe the flower is orangey-red.

Update 18 Nov - found the tag! Seems it's a hard-to-get vine.

Update 10 Jan 2018 -  Found this vine severed and dead on 5 Jan 2018. Not sure why or who. Maybe a chook pecked it? Such a shame. Time to find something else to put there.

Fraser Island Vine (Tecomanthe hillii)

However, it has also been spotted on the mainland in South-East and North-East Queensland. It is a woody evergreen that belongs to the Bignoniaceae family. It is extremely rare and can only found in Queensland. This unusual and attractive perennial is subtropical and definitely would be a wonderful feature plant adding a tropical feel to any garden. It is fairly easy to manage and maintain. You can even train it to climb supports, trellises, archways, verandas, fencing and even trees.
