HEAPS OF RAIN!

Two weeks worth! The lawn in green, the plants are standing up, and my Pilea peperomioides is doing really well!

2 Jan 2020 - I've been tip-pruning to encourage bushiness and upwards shape.

5 Feb 2020 - last weekend I clipped off the under branches, to ensure all were facing in an upward direction.

Recent rains will do it good, I believe.

29 Feb 2020 - I continue to tip-prune it, so as to 'bush up' the inner centre and to control the shape. On the whole, I am so happy she is growing well.

15 March 2020 - 

7 April 2020 -  looking big and round. I have been pruning off any foliage leaning down and too far out, to encourage thickening up and upward growth. Loving all the flowers.

20 April 2020 - I re-staked the tree, as it was leaning to one side with it's weak cane prop. It suddenly looks a bit lopsided, but I will prune it to be straight and balanced again, eventually. 

It has grown a lot this past season. I would like her to grow taller than the fence.

12 July 2020 - 

13 August 2020 - She appears to be growing again, increasing in height. I am so pleased, and am trying to encourage thicker growth towards the inner sections of the tree, rather than wider.

18 August 2020 - 

27 Nov 2020 -  It's having a growth spurt at the moment. I have pruned it to be heading upwards, and have fed it several applications of potash.

Dec 10, 2020 - Lovely flowers.

It's up to the height of the table now!

12 Feb 2020 - the rain has continued and so has growth which is wonderful, and I am very pleased. She is now taller than the table! The trunks are still slim though, so I am waiting to find which of the two will be dominant and grow best. Should I remove the other??

21 March 2020 -  It's become a real little tree!

7 April 2020  - 

23 October, 2020 - I made that mistake (see above, 12 Feb 2020) of pruning out the tips - should have left it alone as i has done nothing for so many months. I can see some new growth in the tip area now, and I really want her to grow tall and strong again.

29 Oct 2020 - it looks like the recent heavy rains have stimulated some growth and I can see new more pronounced shoots at the top. I do hope they grow bigger and tall.

11 Nov - the old leaves have fallen as the new little ones have grown.

This summer I am gratified to see that the fledgling trees are growing so that their foliage is beginning to intermingle and join together.

I am so pleased and thrilled to notice this - eventually I would like it to be a line of shady, cool groves.

We are at the beginning of the tree journey, but on the way. The mixed foliage excites me!

Dancing lady orchid shoots again

I have two lots in separate pots, which were in one pot from HERE. One is well-established and is lately sending out shoots which will flower soon.
